I’m Gonzalo González Ventura, a Game Designer with a background in development and a strong focus on Level Design and Combat Design.
I’m passionate about creating experiences where pacing, challenge, and spatial design seamlessly blend to deliver engaging and memorable gameplay moments.
I mainly work with Unreal Engine 5, applying my technical knowledge in Blueprints, Behaviour Trees, EQS, GAS and Animation Systems to bridge the gap between design and implementation.
I also have experience with Unity, which allows me to adapt to different production pipelines and team workflows.
I have a strong artistic background and experience with 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Maya, which enables me to work independently in shaping environments, guiding the player organically through space, and using composition, form, and color to enhance gameplay readability and player flow.
I’m driven by the desire to design dynamic and reactive combat encounters, refine moment-to-moment gameplay, and craft meaningful challenges that reward player mastery.
I’m constantly learning and evolving as a designer, aiming to contribute to projects that value gameplay depth, coherence, and meaningful player experiences.
